Quality Assurance Analyst

Reports To: Director, Project Management

Qualifications:

Education: Degree in Business, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience

Experience:

• Thorough understanding of QA processes and practices
• Hands-on proven experience with testing and QA tools
• Preferably some technical literacy or exposure to application development
• Previous experience on Internet/Web, or development projects
• Must have a working knowledge of the Web and an understanding of
  e-commerce
• Must have excellent communications and organizational skills
• Familiarity working with design and development professionals
• Familiarity with jWebUnit a plus
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ongoing quality assurance of designated sites, including writing and execution of test scripts
• Develop test cases, test plans and strategies; recommend improvements to QA processes
• Interact with internal/external customers to fully understand new features and enhancements
• Review technical and systems specifications; review user requirements and work with developers to ensure QA keeps pace with development, and to report development issues
• Maintain good relationship with developers; understand the application system; analyze test results and povide test summary reports to the Project Manager
• Provide QA recommendations regarding release management; discuss test results with the Project Manager and present risks and recommendations; assure adherence to development standards
• Assist to identify, manage and resolve QA issues; work with the Project Manager for post-launch QA
