Project Manager
Department: Commerce Services
Reports To: Director, Project Management
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in business or computer
science or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years experience managing Web site development projects
- Working knowledge of the retail industry
- Previous exposure to both internal and external clients
- Previous exposure to e-commerce technology and online marketing
- Previous online site creation experience with e-commerce or dynamic content, high traffic sites
- Previous experience managing multiple projects within a small cross-functional team
- Proficient in software tools including MS Project, Visio, and MS Office Suite
- Excellent problem-solving, team-building, leadership and communications skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Web site creation, coordinating the work of technical development, design, content, and continued operations/hosting to ensure flawless, continuous improvement of our client sites
- Provide direction, advice, guidance, and support to cross-functional team members to minimize risk and manage work quality, project schedule, budget and resources
- Champion efforts to drive exemplary customer satisfaction, creative ideation, site revenue
- Interpret client business objectives and define measurable results
- Translate client needs into project requirements for design and technical teams
- Analyze and design solutions to meet the business needs and create a positive user experience for the client
- Anticipate problems and develop contingency plans throughout the project lifecycle
- Participate in business development activities, facilitate proposal creation, project planning, and estimation
- Identify, manage, and resolve client issues, limiting risk and communicating status
- Analyze site performance and capacity requirements to ensure flawless delivery
- Report site performance to team and management on a regular basis
- Refine client e-commerce sites by introducing site improvements, complementary marketing services, and site changes to respond to cross channel marketing, seasonal product demand, and closer alignment with the target audience
- Create and manage the project schedule, and orchestrate status and issues reporting with client and Novator teams throughout the complete project lifecycle
- Build and maintain client relationships, managing expectations and ensuring satisfaction
- Conduct post-project analyses to determine project successes and learn lessons from past mistakes
- Manage deliverables for multiple clients as stated in all contract and SLA documents
- Ensure accurate estimation of work through thorough tracking of estimates versus delivery actual times
- Ensure team members record accurate time, both billable and non-billable hours
Office hours from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. (some flexibility is negotiable)
24x7 availability in case of problems
May be expected to work unusual hours during site launches and busy
seasons
