Mark Fox Chairman & CEO
A noted Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence pioneer, Mark Fox is an industry leader in the creation of online retail software and services. Mark founded Novator in 1994. Under his direction, the company has successfully created online retail and customer care solutions for companies like FTD.com, Brookstone, American Express International, Lucas Films, Interflora (UK), Warner Bros., Shoppers Stop Limited (India), Marvel Entertainment and more. Working with the Novator team, he continues to develop the innovative strategies and proprietary technologies that help our clients prosper. Before starting Novator, Mark co-founded Carnegie Group Inc., a publicly owned software company that creates intelligent systems for solving engineering, manufacturing, and telecommunications challenges.
Mark holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Carnegie-Mellon University, where he was also a Professor of Computer Science and Robotics. He is currently a Professor of Industrial Engineering at the University of Toronto.
Lee Greenspoon Executive Vice President, Corporate Development
As Executive Vice President of Corporate Development, Lee is responsible for business development, account management, marketing, and assuring that diverse client requirements are infused into the continuous evolution of Novator’s proprietary e-Commerce platform and professional services offering. Lee’s priorities are focused on client retention, acquisition, growth and ensuring that clients are leveraging Novator’s unique technology and service offering to profitably grow their online business. He is responsible for the following business areas: Business development, Strategic Account Management, Marketing, Global Market Development, and Strategic Partnerships.
Lee has multi-vertical, international experience and has been directly involved in the marketing and strategic development of several unique businesses that optimize consumer behavior. Most recently, Lee co-founded a Business Intelligence software company, targeting retailers focused on optimizing the consumer in-store experience. Prior to this, Lee was VP Corporate Development and a Partner at Twenty-Ten, Inc (an Experian company), a CRM analytics provider. Lee launched his career at the international consulting firm, Bariston, Inc. working with organizations seeking global export/expansion opportunities. Lee then joined Hepworth & Company where he worked with client organizations to build competitive advantages in their CRM processes. Lee then co-founded e-Tech Direct Inc., a company providing fulfillment, CRM and multi-lingual e-Commerce services to a range of U.S. retailers.
Lee holds a BA from the University of Western Ontario and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business.
Aaron Posner Vice President, Technology & Engineering Services
As Vice President Technology and Engineering Services, Aaron has company wide oversight of the technical direction of the company and oversees the specification, implementation and development of our proprietary software, Virtual Retailer, including technical solutions for innovative features and functionalities, VR Release management, scalability and availability of the hosting architecture.
As the first official employee of Novator and having a history of over 10 years with the company, Aaron brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Novator's core platform, Virtual Retailer (VR). Aaron was the Chief Architect of VR1, 2 & 3 platforms and now oversees the VR4 development team. In his prior role as Director of Client Services, he successfully managed the development rollout of many clients, and with direct management of the lead engineers, one of the key focuses was to ensure scalability and availability of each site. As the lead engineer for the FTD team, his team doubled in size to deliver project requirements while FTD.com enjoyed 25-35% growth year over year.
Dan Budlovsky Vice President, Finance & Administration
As Vice President of Finance & Administration, Dan is responsible for financial strategy, financial reporting and planning, forecasting, performance analysis, and internal controls, as well as human resource & contracting policies and procedures at Novator and its subsidiaries. Dan is also instrumental in sourcing capital, identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, as well as developing growth strategies as Novator enters new markets.
Dan brings more than 10 years of experience as a financial professional with broad experience in financial functions for growing technology companies, as well as public accounting. Prior to joining Novator, Dan was Director of Finance for PlateSpin, a hyper-growth startup serving the data centre management market. Earlier in his career, he was responsible for the corporate accounting function with Open Text Corporation, one of Canada's largest and most profitable software companies. Dan attained a Chartered Accountancy designation while working with KPMG and received a B.B.A. (Honours) from Wilfrid Laurier University.
Deep Sehgal CEO, Novator India
As CEO, Novator India, Deep is responsible for all aspects of the Novator India operations including business development, delivery and operations. Deep has over 20 years of multifaceted leadership experience in IT services, e-Commerce operations and retail management. He has management experience in all aspects of e-Commerce delivery and operations including client relationship management, application development and infrastructure management.
Prior to joining the company Deep led the e-commerce consulting practice at a global IT services provider. Prior to that he was head of e-Commerce operations at Avis Budget Group (a Fortune 500 company) at their US headquarters where he had the end-to-end responsibility for all e-commerce and CRM applications for multiple global consumer brands. He managed all aspects of both B2C and B2B e commerce websites generating over $1.5 billion annually. During his tenure these websites won numerous best-in-class consumer and industry awards.
Prior to that he has held various positions at RCI as manager of e-channel initiatives, program manager for global strategic outsourcing and as e-business practice & delivery head at Emtec, a large systems integrator in the US. Earlier in his career he was instrumental in setting up and leading the consulting and delivery functions at US and Singapore branches for a Internet & Telecom services provider.
Deep holds a MBA degree from Rutgers University and a Bachelors degree from Punjab University. He is also a certified PMP, Six Sigma Green Belt from Lockheed Martin & Rutgers University, an IBM certified e-business solutions consultant and architect.
